Irish Folk Tales and Lady Gregory Adaptations

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This dataset contains fourteen English-language Irish folk tales and their corresponding adaptations by Lady Gregory, presented in plaintext format for comparative analysis. The original texts were sourced in part from the Corpus of Electronic Texts (CELT) at University College Cork, and the collection was curated by researchers on the CASCADE project. All files are encoded in UTF-8 and named to facilitate alignment between original and adapted versions. The dataset supports reuse in digital humanities, literary analysis, folklore studies, and natural language processing.
