Abstract
This paper explores the connection between a small group of Iron Age ring-headed pins found in France and Austria and their Irish and British counterparts. It is argued that the continental pins, while executed in a local manner, can be seen as closely related to the insular type and possibly represent the local adaptation of a foreign type and fashion of dress ornament.
