Abstract
The working and advantages of the Mechanical beam profiler are discussed. The digital micromirror device (DMD) consists of two large-area photodetectors and a processor such as computer. The term "digital"in DMD refers to an intrinsically digital optical operation of the mechanical profiling process. The DMD serves as an all-digital software-programmable 2-dimensional moving mechanical element that can implement beam-profiling methods.
