N2 - We report on III-V-on-silicon DFB lasers realized by micro-transfer-printing pre-fabricated III-V semiconductor optical amplifiers on a silicon waveguide circuit comprising a first-order quarter wave shifted grating. Single mode operation at 1530 nm is demonstrated.
