Modified phase-conjugate twin wave schemes for spectral efficiency enhancement

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

We propose novel schemes to mitigate fiber nonlinearity and show in 25-Gbaud PDM QPSK simulations over 15,200 km that these schemes increase the spectral efficiency from 50% to 70% while exhibiting only 0.3-dB Q-factor reduction compared to the PCTW method.
