Nonenzymatic Yarn Sensor for Glucose Monitoring

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

This paper reports the design, fabrication and characterization of a flexible yarn-based nonenzymatic glucose sensor with three-electrode test configuration. The proposed sensor was implemented with three pieces of functional yarn as working, reference and counter electrode. The WE was a copper oxide and activated carbon-coated copper yarn, the RE and CE were glassy carbon-coated copper yarn. The proposed nonenzymatic glucose sensor achieved a sensitivity of 247.6 μA. mM-1.cm-2 for glucose concentrations between 0.1 mM and 8 mM.
