Abstract

Reaction of [Pt(PPh3)3] with (PhCNSSN)2 in MeCN leads to [Pt(SNCPhNS-S-S,S)(PPh3)2]·MeCN, which decomposes in toluene to give a novel trimetallic species, [Pt 3(μ-SNCPhNS-S,S)2(PPh3)4]; the structures of both compounds are reported.
