Observations on the relationship between energy transfer efficiency and phase noise in an LC oscillator

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

It can be shown that a differential LC oscillator has a point of maximum energy efficiency. Furthermore it has been observed, through extensive simulation, that this point corresponds to the point at which the oscillator experiences a "flattening" out of its phase noise profile.
