Optical trapping and manipulation of micron-sized particles using a bright tapered optical fiber

Abstract

In our work we aim to investigate the trapping and moving of microspheres on along an optical nanofiber. We will investigate the generation of standing waves within the fiber and exploit higher order mode interference.
