Out-of-Band Isolation Enhancement in RF Circulators with Embedded Filtering Functionality

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

This manuscript explores design methodologies to enhance the out-of-band isolation (IS) bandwidth (BW) of RF co-designed components that exhibit the co-located functions of a bandpass filter and circulator (BPFC). These methodologies are validated at 3.1 GHz for a BPFC with the following characteristics: passband insertion loss: 3.4 dB, fractional bandwidth 6.5%, IS at fcen: 20.6 dB, lower (> 20 dB) out-of-band IS BW: 2.66:1, upper (> 20 dB) out-of-band isolation BW: 1.48:1.
