title = "Polarization-based fiber optic delay lines",
abstract = "Multichannel fiber-optic delay line architectures using optical polarization switching are proposed that use nonpolarization maintaining single-mode fibers while still maintaining high extinction polarization properties of the switched optical beams. Critical birefringence compensation and noise reduction techniques are introduced and demonstrated for these delay lines showing high optical polarization extinction (≳ 39 dB) and electrical signal-to-noise ratio (≳ 92 dB) results.",
