Abstract

The pattern of coastal and environmental evolution in the estuary in post-glacial time was a function of long term relative sea- level movements. The trend since medieval times, and more significantly in recent decades, of continuing inundation is most easily correlated with the embanking and channel alterations carried out by man. -after Author
