Abstract
Today’s competitive and global marketplace requires internationalization of education and development across a variety of professions. Therefore, to remain relevant to current members and to attract new, diverse members worldwide, associations must be proactive in broadening their mission while being responsive to their membership. People engaged in planning, conducting, and studying adult, continuing education activities benefit significantly from association(s) with their peers. New initiatives can occur at the local, regional, national, and international levels. These collegial interactions are essential for sharing information; building knowledge; and developing meaningful, collaborative partnerships across the globe.
