Quantum cryptography and secure optical communications

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Quantum cryptography is a new branch of physics and cryptology which exploits quantum mechanical phenomena to guarantee the secrecy of cryptographic keys. Developments at BT Laboratories and elsewhere have taken us a step further in the practical realization of such secure quantum channels for key distribution. We report on these developments and review current progress.
