Abstract
Novel purification processes have been developed, based on the interaction between complementary biomolecules, to circumvent the difficulties encountered by conventional affinity chromatography. Depending upon the procedure used for isolating the ligand-binder complex, the process can be termed affinity cross-flow filtration, affinity partition or affinity precipitation. This review describes the developments and potentials of such purification techniques.
