Abstract

This paper presents the vision of the H2020 EU SARMENTI project that develops an IoT node that monitors in place and in real-time soil nutrients and emission of gasses above the ground, and provide recommendations to the farmer regarding appropriate fertilization strategies. The development methodology is presented here, the measurement requirements being established with end-users. Then the device architecture is summarized.
