Slew-rate Comparison of single-ended amplifiers-the Folded Cascode and the Recycling Folded Cascode

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsConference proceedingpeer-review

Abstract

In this paper, two cascode amplifiers are analyzed. For comparison purposes, same design specifications were used to size them by using the gm/ID methodology (CMOS 130 nm). In this analysis, slew-rate is the target because settling time strongly depends on it. Corners-based simulations were carried out to assess the process variations effect on the amplifiers performance. From this study the recycling folded cascode amplifier gives the highighest value and is more tolerant to process variations.
