Abstract

Somewhere in my Memory features in the well renowned Disney film Home Alone, with music composed by John Williams. This particular version was arranged by Audrey Schnyder with backing track created by Eoin Fennessey. Directed by Dr. Eva McMullan and video produced by JJ Riordan, this wonderful performance brings the Collegial Choir at University College Cork together with the Crosshaven Community Choir, Music4Children choristers and members of Down Syndrome Cork. This production features the wonderful soloist Sally Cole, flautist Katrina Emtage and Dr. Pauline Frizelle from Clinical Therapies UCC who signs during the piece. In a year that people have found more than challenging, Dr. Eva McMullan wanted to send a message of positivity and hope as we say goodbye to 2020 and embrace the New Year. Dr. McMullan also dedicates it to Anne McMullan, her Mum who sadly passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic.
