Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: This review aims to evaluate available evidence on benefits and harms associated with statin therapy for patients with COPD. Primary objectives include the following. To determine whether statins reduce mortality rates in COPD. To determine whether statins reduce exacerbation frequency, improve quality of life or improve lung function in COPD. To determine whether statins are associated with adverse effects.
