Abstract

Aerosol particles are major components of urban pollution in China and can influence the Earth's radiation budget by scattering and absorption of incoming solar radiation. Aurora 3000 integrating nephelometer, as an instrument for measuring the scattering coefficient of aerosol particles, is always used to monitor and study atmospheric aerosol particles. In order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the instrument, its results are needed to be corrected. In this paper, the calculated correction factor C for angular and wavelength non-idealities at three wavelengths (λ = 450 nm, 525 nm, 635 nm) was given to reduce and quantify the uncertainties for aerosol optical properties measured with Aurora 3000 integrating nephelometer.
