Abstract

The present study highlights India's first report on birth of goat kid through laparoscopic artificial insemination (AI) using frozen semen. This latest artificial insemination tool can be a viable and alternate approach of AI in goats, in order to utilize the superior male germplasm efficiently with improved pregnancy as well as kidding rates. Nevertheless, this technology may also serve as a tool to conserve pure and native goat breeds of India, which are at the verge of endangerment.
