Abstract

The Blogoduct System is a Just-In-Time Information Retrieval (JITIR) agent for bloggers and authors of other short documents. Blogoduct selects and extracts terms from the document (e.g. blogpost) that the user is editing, and uses these terms to formulate search engine queries. The queries are sent asynchronously to Internet search engines, and the results are aggregated and displayed alongside the user's document. Blogoduct currently provides aggregated search results from Google and Yahoo!, along with image search results from flickr.
