Abstract

This chapter provides a retrospective view of the work of the Interim Curriculum and Examinations Board, which was set up by Minister for Education, Gemma Hussey, in 1984. The author, Áine Hyland, was a member of the board and was chair of the committee which reviewed the primary and junior cycle curriculum and made recommendations for reform
