Introduces the new-to-Ireland academic study of religions through a wide-ranging discussion of Mary Douglas, fish out of water, the world's best-known atheist, the deployment of religious symbols, the forgotten 'Irish Buddhist' U Dhammaloka, Mr Justice Twomey of Carrigtwohill and Rangoon, Mary Douglas (again) and Ninian Smart, the doyen of 'world-view analysis'.
