Abstract
IEF and SDS PAGE were compared for the identification of species in Heterorhabditis and IEF (in conjunction with silver staining) was found to be the more sensitive method. The Heterorhabditis isolates examined could be divided into the following four groups according to the electrophoregrams obtained: 1. the North West European group, including H. megidis; 2. the Irish group; 3. the Tropical group, and 4. the H. bacteriophora group.
