Upconverting nanoparticles for high contrast breast cancer biomarker imaging

Abstract

We report high contrast upconverting nanoparticles labeling of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 in control pellet arrays and breast cancer tissue. A Fourier transform-based algorithm provided semi-quantitative tissue assessment tool with high background-to-noise ratio.
