Abstract

We demonstrate a WDM-enabled optical regenerator incorporating wavelength selective filters for signal combining and filtering. The consequent 3dB loss reduction allows ultra-low power switching and error-free BER performance at 40Gb/s for all PRBS pattern lengths.
