Biography

Dr Camelia Bran was appointed as lecturer to our New Avenues to Teaching programme in September 2022. Prior to joining UCC, Camelia was Associated professor, PhD. within the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work of University “Aurel Vlaicu” of Arad, RomaniaShe has 20 years' experience in teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training programmes, and has also extensive experience in regional, national, and European projects, both as project manager and team member. Camelia has a range of research interests including highlighting the relationship between non-formal education and inclusion of children with special education needs; understanding wellbeing and its impact on student teachers; cyberbullying recognition and prevention strategies; developing instructional design skills in the online environment; the relationship between metacognitive regulation and learning approaches.

Research Interests

My research interests are developed around the following main topics:  
Topic 1 Highlighting the relationship  between  non-formal  education  and inclusion of  children  with  Special Education Needs
Topic 2 Understanding Wellbeing and its impact on student- teachers
Topic 3 Cyberbullying. Recognition and preventing strategies
Topic 4 Developing instructional design  skills  in the  online  environment
Topic 5. The relationship between metacognitive  regulation  and the learning  approaches
