Biography

Dr Gemma Campion completed her PhD in Education and Social Justice in 2019 from Lancaster University. She holds an M.Ed and B.Ed from Mary Immaculate College and is a qualified primary school teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. She has facilitated in-service teacher training with the PDST in the areas of child protection, social, personal and health education (SPHE) and wellbeing. She has also been involved in initial teacher training with Hibernia College over 8 years as a research supervisor and SPHE tutor on the PME Primary programme. She is passionate about educational research and her main interests are in educational disadvantage, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
