GeneralContext Broken remains of large ringless cross.
Location St. Oran's Chapel, now in Nunnery Museum.
GeneralContext Stone type: mica-granulite of reddish-grey colour.
Dimensions 1.82 m was the height of the shaft, now broken in two, original width was about 0.55 m, maximum preserved thickness is 0.11 m.
GeneralDescription Detail on the front of left arm. Man and lion. The man is holding the lion's leg with his right arm and may have a book under the other arm. This is possibly David fighting lion (Old Testament 1, Sam.17:34), or else Daniel in the lion's den (Old Testament Daniel 6:18).
