Research Interests

My primary research interests lie in tort and medical law, with particular focus on regulation in healthcare, patient safety and alternative dispute resolution methods in the medical context. I also engage in research on child law and children's rights through my work with the Child Law Clinic in UCC.

My thesis considers the challenges healthcare-associated infection (HCAI) pose to the healthcare and legal systems, providing a microcosm for examining the reform of the medico-legal framework and regulatory structures in the Irish healthcare system.
