BIOGRAPHY

Dr Anthony Morrissey started in UCC as a researcher in the Tyndall National Institute (then NMRC) in July 1993. He was a founder member of the Microsystems Centre, now one of Tyndall's biggest centres. Anthony initiated microneedles research in Ireland, and by the time of his departure from research in 2007, his Tyndall group was established as the world leader in the field of "Silicon Microneedles for Biomedical Applications".

In September 2007, Anthony joined the newly formed Technology Transfer Office (TTO) where he is currently employed as a case manager, liaising with PIs, managing IP, assisting with proposals, engaging with industry on licenses and contracts, and much more.
