Dr Amiya, is a senior postdoc (PD LvII) at MaRIE/ERI, University College Cork. Before joining UCC, he worked as a Government of Ireland, IRC funded postdoctoral researcher for two years at School of Civil Engineering, University College Dublin, Ireland. There he investigated the dynamics of offshore wind turbines and their vibration control with passive dampers. Moreover, Dr Amiya, is also interested in structural health monitoring of floating structures. He has a Ph.D. focused on ‘Vibration control of buildings with sloped wall tuned liquid damper under earthquake excitation’.
He is currently involved in Marine institute funded, 'Design flexibility of ORE development in Ireland'.
