Graham qualified from Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2009.

He undertook a two year Longitudinal Dental Foundation Training (LDFT) Program at The Edinburgh Postgraduate Dental Institute from 2009-2011. During this period Graham was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Following LDFT, Graham spent a year as an SHO in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Scotland before undertaking an MSc in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2012/2013. His research looked at the efficacy of final rinse regimens in a novel ex-vivo molar model that he developed and validated.

Graham then undertook Higher Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry at Cork University Dental School and Hospital and University Dental Hospital of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Graham successfully completed the Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in Restorative Dentistry in April 2018 and his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in September 2018.

Graham was appointed Consultant/Senior Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry (Endodontology) at University College Cork in October 2018 where he delivers a specialist endodontic service, is the clinical lead for undergraduate teaching in Endodontology and Year Lead for BDSIV/BDSGIII.

Graham's current research is the area of Dental Education where he is researching how competence can be determined in Endodontology in the undergraduate curriculum.
