Biography

Judy Rea received B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1999, and M.Eng at University College Cork (UCC), Cork, Ireland, in 1999 and 2009, respectively. For ten years, she worked as an Analog Design Engineer in the microelectronics industry. She joined the Hydraulics and Maritime Research Centre, UCC in 2010. Her research interests include methods of electrical power take off from ocean energy convertors and grid integration of offshore renewable energy Other areas of interest include microgrid and distributed generation studies.
