Research Profile
Biography
Research Interests
This research adopts an experience-centered design approach, where positivism is replaced with a collaborative inquiry into the lived, felt experience of dementia patients and their caregivers. This methodology gives a voice to participants but also addresses the researchers own voice; recognizing that it is an integral part of the overall research project. There are many dialogues at play participant, researcher and designer and therefore the project lends itself to be studied using a dialogical approach.
A methodology such as this requires a psychological knowledge but also ability for creativity and collaborative practices, something that is facilitated by the Digital Arts and Humanities; where collaboration, digital tools and digital methodologies are at its core.
