Patricia Kennedy
Biography
My research focus is on sexual and reporoductive health, equality, maternity policy, criminal justice, migration, Travellers and Roma, and life at sea.
With Roma 'experts by experience' I developed the Health Strategy for Roma in Cork and Kerry (2024) and with a team of peer researchers, Roma in Ireland: A National Needs Assessment (2018).
I am a member of the Management Committee of EU CA23103 'Life, liberty and health: ensuring universal protection of human rights at sea (BlueRights)' and a member of the Workig Group on Health and Well-being.
I am a member of EU COST Action 21143 Transnational Family Dynamics and co-chair of the Working Group on Participatory Research Methods.
I am Principal Investigator on Where Have all the Good Nuns Gone? an oral history research project.
I am available to discuss PhD supervision.
