BIOGRAPHY

Dual qualified nurse (RMN & RGN), dual qualified teacher (Cert Ed & Cert Health ED, Registered Nurse Tutor (RNT) BSc (Honours Psychology) and MSc Nursing. Worked in UK, Canada & Ireland within the Psychiatric Mental Health Services. Formally, Acting Principle of SHB, Regional School of Psychiatric Nursing. Joined UCC in 2002 as College Lecturer in Psychiatric Nursing. Currently a Director on the Board of of CRSI a charity engaged in the development of acute mental health services, and PhD graduate study the phenomenon of Moral Shielding.

Other Activities

  Description

The CRSI is a charity that is engaged in development of staff practice and the improvement of client services through evidence based practices. Following the foundation of the group this charity was registered in 2008 and had its first conference to promote its purpose in the same year. It has since established an annual interdisciplinary and international conference, as well as, launching an extensive web site publishing the ongoing research and developments of the group.
