Biography

Stefan Kriechbaumer studied English and French language and literature at Klagenfurt University, where he also worked for the Centre for Gender Studies. After having obtained his MA with a thesis on cross-linguistic constraints on lexical transfer, he gained experience teaching German as a foreign language at Barry Comprehensive School, Wales. Thereafter, he taught English at the Higher Technical Institute of Civil Engineering, Graphics and Design in Linz. He joined the German Department in Cork in September 2012.
